Dismantle the lathe
- The cross slide, apron, and saddle -

Removing the compound rest


Remove the nut from the cross slide handle
A special modified screwdriver (below) is required

Removing the apron gearbox


Removing the lock bolt from the rear of the saddle


Removing the gib plates from the rear of the saddle


Removing the anti-lift screws from the saddle
