Dismantle the lathe
- The lead screw -
Remove gear cover hinge
Remove the nut from the lead screw thrust washer
Remove right side lead screw mount
Remove change gear banjo
Remove left lead screw mount and slide screw to the left to remove
Be sure to loosen the setscrew from the thrust collar shown
and disengage the half nuts in the apron
